So much to do, so little time!

Well things have been quiet on this window to the world of late for a few reasons.

Of course the normal work stuff gets in the way taking up so much time which you all rightfully deserve instead!

As I write this summer has officially landed...well summer according to the UK which is a very pleasant 22c which is about right for this time of year.

Colin and I will be going on holiday soon for a short trip to go Mountain biking with Rubbot up in the Lake District and possibly Scotland.  Also hoping to get the big dark skies we experienced in Norfolk late last summer and provided it's clear we'll get to see the milky way again (an awe inspiring sight we often miss being based in a suburban area with it seems too much light pollution)

Anyway, onto pervier things.....

To some it may not be too obvious, but to others they may be chomping at the bit to find out more.

We are working on a big project which will come together publicly in the next few weeks.

GearBlast:UK

For those who aren't aware I was chief organiser of an event five years ago designed to bring together pervs from many far reaching places into one venue for two nights of just enjoying each others' company and doing what comes naturally...in gear.  This was an extension of the original GearBlast created and hosted by ScubaCCS held during IML in Chicago for a few years before.  I had become a close friend and after seeing how I organised a few private gear parties, he asked me to run a big GearBlast in the UK.

The event we hosted in 2009 could have gone a hell of a lot smoother and in fact it had such a negative effect on me personally that I wasn't prepared to host another.  But is was well received by those who came and we occasionally got asked if we were doing another one.

We weren't going to...but that was until I got a message from good and long time friend Rubbiker77 who, after GBUK09 (which he attended) was inspired to carry on and created GearBlast Europe.

GBEU has more than doubled in size since it's first event and Rubby wanted to get exposure in the UK in 2014 so asked for my help.  I initially didn't want to do it but Rubby worked on me and convinced me to scout for some locations.

I got to work, but I couldn't meet the criteria for a GBEU event in the UK.  However whilst I was looking I began to see that another 'standalone' GBUK event which I would be coordinating again could work in one of the venues which previously didn't suit GBEU's needs or wants.

And so the seed was sown and it began to grow quickly.  I found myself becoming very enthusiastic about managing an event again and could see 'our' event working alongside GBEU to compliment what effectively becomes a Europe-wide GearBlast coverage.

GearBlast is a franchise in some ways, but all the events, although being in different locations have the same aims, to bring together male full gear-heads to mutually enjoy the company of like-minded perverts in a welcoming drama free setting. We don't work against each other and out of respect for GBEU which is held on the last weekend in May we won't be pushing our event until it has passed.

So GBUK was born and we decided to fill the same calender spot in late August as previously as in the UK it is the Bank Holiday weekend.  The Venue was now confirmed, the Dates and Times were set and lots of ideas were peculating in my mind.

Colin helped me get a few select individuals on board to help out, one being an old and very good friend who helped us out in the first GBUK, Bkrlthrs.  He worked on the graphic design for the look, created a website and gave us a very professional air.

He accepted the challenge and is currently finalising the design as we speak.  I have seen some previews and I'm very excited to show it off.  One of which will be an animated banner which will appear on a well known rubber website...and below is a sneaky peek of that banner.

Tickets will go on sale through www.gearblast.co.uk at a very reasonable price from the 1st of June 2014, and we have a fantastic venue secured with lots of space to play with some fantastic furniture and plenty of space to just chill-out or play.

Hopefully the website will be fully operational too by the time tickets go on sale and we will have some great partners coming on board with us, all of which will be revealed over the next few weeks.

We hope this event gathers much more momentum and it'll be with your help that it will be the success it deserves to be.  This will be an annual thing which can only get better now.

Thanks for reading and I hope we see you in August!
